VALGRIND Vs VTUNE
Sir I want to get a software to increase the working capacity of my PC so can you please tell me that which is better that is the VALGRIND or VTUNE? Valgrind tools can automatically detect many memory management and threading bugs, and profile your programs in detail. Intel VTune Amplifier is a commercial application for software performance analysis for 32 and 64-bit x86 based machines, The VALGRIND is an instrumentation framework for building dynamic analysis tools. You can also use Valgrind to build new tools. Intel VTune Amplifier has both GUI and command line interfaces. It is available for both Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems In my opinion you should get the Intel Vtune as profiler because ot can work with both the 32 and 64-bit machine Salient features of the Intel VTune Amplifier Hardware event sampling Performance Tuning Utility (PTU) Software sampling JIT profiling support Locks and waits analysis Threading timeline Sampling results are displayed line by line on the source / assembly code.
