Vitiligo Treatment in AIIMS
Can you tell me about the facilities offered by the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, AIIMS, New Delhi as I want to get the Vitiligo treatment done from there? The Department of Dermatology and Venereology, AIIMS, New Delhi was set up in 1950s under the Chairmanship of Late Prof K C Kandhari, and subsequently iconic personalities like Late Prof LK Bhutani (1974-1996), Prof JS Pasricha ( 1996-8) and Prof RK Pandhi (1998-2001) headed the department. The facilities offered by the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, AIIMS, New Delhi are as follows: Facilities and Services Outdoor Patient Department The department caters to the needs of outdoor patients daily (Monday to Friday) from 9:00 AM The following facilities are available for patients Treatment of all kind of skin diseases Treatment of diseases of hair and nail Treatment of Sexually transmitted diseases Treatment of leprosy Treatment of Vitiligo, Psoriasis, Eczemas Surgical Treatment of various Skin problems LASER treatment Indoor Patient Department Provides service to patients who are Systemically unstable because of skin disease Need detailed evaluation of their disease Treatment has to be given under supervision Our indoor patient department also has facility for day care treatment for some of the indications.
