Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College is affiliated to the University of Madras and the college has been re-accredited with "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2012.
The college was founded in 21 June 1946 by professor, philosopher, and politician, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
