Can you tell me about the process of becoming an officer in CID or Crime Investigation Department officer as I want to make a career in this department and serve my country?

The Criminal Investigation Department is a crime detection agency under the Government of India which was established in 1906. Those officers who work in this elite agency are known as Detectives or as CID officers. Candidates who wish to join the CID or Crime Investigation Department need to appear in the Indian Civil Services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Eligibility for CID Officer Educational Qualification: One should be passed the bachelor degree from any recognized university. Age limit: age must be between the 21 to 30 years. 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST . or 3 years for the OBC. Nationality:- Indian citizen. Physical requirement: Height: For men: 163 cms. For women: 152 cms Selection process: Written test Interview Physical and medical fitness test Syllabus:- Part I- General Test, General Reasoning and Intelligence, General Awareness and Numerical Ability. Part II- English Language, Language Comprehension, Communication/ Writing and Ability Test.
