WB PG MAT Stand for West Bengal Post Graduate Medical Admission Test

West Bengal Post Graduate Medical Admission Test is an Entrance Examination which is organized each year to grant aspiring applicants like you admission in a range of medical and dental universities which provide courses in MD, MS, MDS etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can apply for this particular course, if your nationality is Indian.

Candidates need to be a domicile of West Bengal.
Candidates need to have cleared Secondary and higher secondary from any recognized institution or university in West Bengal.

Candidates need to have gained the MBBS degree from a recognized University in West Bengal.

Candidates must have completed or will complete rotating internship

WB PG MAT 2017 Exam Dates


WB PG MAT 2016 application begins on First week of December, 2016
Last date to Submit WB PG MAT 2017 application Forms Last week of December, 2016 ( 11 P.M )

Offline payment through e-challan will be accepted by the bank within banking hours of December 23, 2016

Submission of print-copy of forms at W.B. University of Health Sciences (except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays) 2nd week of December, 2016 (11.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.)
Print-copies will not be received in the office of the WBUHS in person afterDecember28, 2016(4 P M) However, print-copies sent by Speed/ Registered post will be received up to December 30, 2016. The print copies must contain proof of online/offline payment.
Admit card to be downloaded First week of January, 2017 ( 10 AM ) onwards

WB PG MAT 2017 and WB PG DAT 2017 Exam Date” 2nd week of January, 2017

Exam Time for WB PG MAT 2017 – 12 PM to 2.40 p.m .)

Exam Time for WB PG DAT 2017 – 12 PM to 01:2040 p.m. ) “

Declaration of result First week of February, 2017

Date of Counselling To be notified later on

Session to start from First week of May, 2017

Paper Pattern

This particular examination is held in written form.

200 multiple choice questions are asked in the paper.
Each correct answer would consist of a mark.
The time duration of the paper is 180 minutes.
There is no negative marking. So you can attempt as many questions as you can.
