The Union Public Service Commission conducts written examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). CPF Exam Eligibility Only Indian citizens can apply Age Eligibility: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 25 years as on 1st August of the exam year Academic Eligibility: A degree from a recognised University or equivalent Physical Standards Eligibility: You need to have minimum Physical Standards as given in the notification Female candidates can not apply for BSF and ITBP CAPF Exam Pattern The written examination will be comprised of two papers as follows: • General Ability and Intelligence: The paper will be objective based carrying multiple choice questions. The question paper will be bilingual – English and Hindi. Maximum marks – 250 marks • General Studies, Essay and Comprehension: Here, candidates will have the option of writing the Essay Component in English/Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension and other language skills will be English only. Maximum marks – 200 marks. CAPF Selection Procedure Selection is done on the basis of the following: Written Examination, Physical and Medical Standards Tests and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Interview/ Personality Test. One should be able to qualify in all these stages; however, admission to them will be purely provisional. |
