Re: What is the eligibility criteria for Commerce student to get admission in BCA?

Yes, commerce students can apply for the BCA course.

The only eligibility criteria in most of the universities offering BCA course is that the student should have studied mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 level. So, commerce students with mathematics as a subject in their +2 level can apply for the BCA course.

Eligibility:

The candidate should have passed Intermediate/Higher Secondary (i.e. 10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks for Gen/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST Candidates and with Mathematics as one of the subjects (Only Science/Math stream students are eligible).

But, commerce students with mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 level can apply for the BCA course.

Your minimum marks in class 12th should be 60%.

Scope in BCA:

BCA course will develop the scope for commerce students to get job in IT industry since they will be able to develop software programming skills by doing the BCA course.

They can also do MCA course after completion of the BCA course, which will enable them to get job in top-rated IT companies like TCS, Wipro, CTS, etc…

BCA graduates can get jobs in call centers or they can also start their career in the field of networking in corporate companies.

There are also job opportunities for BCA graduates in software solution providing companies.

If you want to do this course I am giving you the names of colleges that offer BCA.

Top BCA colleges in India are:

JK Business School (JKBS)

IndraPrastha College of Management and Technology (ICMT)

NIT Bhopal

NIT Raipur

VIT University Vellore

NIT Warangal

Cochin Univ of Science & Tech

University of Pune

NIT Kurukshetra

I should tell you that scope after BCA alone is not good in India these days. In fact most bachelor’s courses suffer from same problem except B.Tech. For a secure future I would recommend you to study further after BCA. Taking the MCA course after completing BCA would be the ideal choice.
