GATE exam 2017 was conducted on February 4,5,11 and 12, 2017 Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE 2017- Level: National Stream: Engineering, Technology and Architecture Organizing Institute: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee Exam Mode: Online Important dates- Notification June 20, 2016 Start Date for Application Form Through GOAPS September 1, 2016 Last Date for Application Form October 4, 2016 Last Date for change of Exam City November 16, 2016 Download of Admit Card From January 5, 2017 GATE 2017 Exam Dates February 4, 5, 11 & 12, 2017 GATE 2017 Result March 27, 2017 Download of GATE 2016 Score Card March 27 to May 26, 2017 GATE 2017 Exam Pattern: Duration of Exam: 3 hours Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Numerical Questions: Answers to be keyed in using the keypad. A rough book will be given for calculations Marking Scheme for GATE 2017: There will be 1 mark and 2 marks questions. The total marks are 100. Negative marking will exist only for multiple choice questions 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer to a 1 mark question 2/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer to the 2 mark questions GATE Exam Sections: General Aptitude Section is compulsory for all papers and will be for 15 marks. For Papers with codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PI, TF and XE: Engineering Mathematics Section will be compulsory for 15 marks The main subject of the paper (70% percentage of the total marks) For Papers with codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL: The Main subject of the paper will be for 85% percentage of the total marks. GATE 2017 XE Paper Candidates have to attempt any two of XE sections B to G. GATE 2017 XL Paper Candidates have to attempt Section H in Chemistry along with any two of XL sections I to M |
