The Noida International University is recognised by Universities Grants Commission (UGC) and sponsored by the Maruti Educational Trust.

It was given the status of a university by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on October 12, 2010, Act No. 27 of 2010.

The University offers undergraduate, graduate and post graduate degrees in Science Studies, Engineering, Business Management, Law Studies, Journalism, Nursing, Fine Arts, Liberal Arts and Physical Education.
