When Punjabi University Established

The Punjabi University was established in 1962 year. The Punjabi University is a higher education institute located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established on the 30 April 1962, and is only the second university in the world to be named after a language, after Hebrew University of Israel Punjabi University teaches and researches in science, engineering and technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports. The establishment of a Centre for Teaching of Punjabi as a Foreign Language (CTPFL) and an Advanced Centre for Technical Development of Punjabi Language, Literature and Culture (ACTDPLC) are the foremost instruments aimed at reaching out to the global community. Punjabi University is affiliated to UGC. And its all courses are also affiliated to UGC.
