The ASRB NET Exam is specific qualifying examination for lecturers and assistant professors in state agricultural universities and other agricultural universities (AU).

The Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board is tasked with responsibility of conducting this online assessment.

Other Backward Class (OBC) - Rs 500/-
Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Disability (PwD)/ Women - Rs 250/-

Important Date for 2016:

Online registration will commence from: 5th June, 2016
End Date of Online Registration: 1st July, 2016
Admit card for ARS 2016 Main Exam gets issued:
ARS NET 2016 Exam Date: 1st August to 6th August, 2016 (online)

Age:
Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years
There is no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Educational Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned Discipline and specialization completed.

Paper Pattern:

There will be one paper of 150 marks consisting of 150 objective type multiple choice questions to be solved in 2 (Two) hours.
Each question carries one mark.
These 150 questions shall be derived from the respective discipline in which the candidate has opted to appear.

Category of candidate Minimum qualifying marks:

Un-reserved(UR) (General) 50%
OBC(Non-Creamy layer) 45%
SC / ST/ Person with Disability(PwD) 40%

1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in the NET (I).

The total marks obtained will be rounded off to the next higher integer in case of 0.5 and above and to the immediate lower integer in case of 0.4 and below.
