Can you tell me which is better between XLRI - Xavier School of Management and Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) as I want to take admission in it?

Both XLRI - Xavier School of Management and Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is top notch B Schools in India.

They are always ranked next to each other in most rankings, so now depending on your subject interests you should choose among XLRI or IIMC. The decision to choose which of them lies on what exactly are your career goals.

XLRI

XLRI – Xavier School of Management was established in 1955 and is a management school founded by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.

It is India's oldest business management school. It started off by offering courses for management and trade unions in 1949 before setting up 2 year, full-time program in industrial welfare in 1953.

It ranks consistently among the top 5 business schools in the country. In 2015-16, it was ranked 4th among the top 91 business schools in India across private and government lines.

IIMC
The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is an Indian media centre of learning funded and promoted by the Government of India in New Delhi.

It is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Its one of India's premier institutes for training, teaching and research in mass communication.

It was set up by the Government of India in 1965 on the recommendation of a team of internationally known mass communication specialists from UNESCO and the Ford Foundation.

The then Minister in charge of Information and Broadcasting, Indira Gandhi formally inaugurated the Institute on 17 August 1965.
