Re: This Year CAT Exam

CAT or Common Admission Test is conducted by the IIMs as a national level entrance test in selecting students for their business administration program at Masters Level.

The admission process includes Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI).

Important Dates 2015

AUG 6, 2015, Thursday
CAT 2015 Registration Starts

OCT 25, 2015, Sunday
CAT 2015 Admit Card Download

NOV 29, 2015, Sunday
CAT 2015 Test Day

CAT Pattern:-
Duration of the exam is increased to 180 minutes instead of 170 minutes.

There will be three sections, ‘Quantitative Aptitude (QA)’, ‘Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)’ and Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC)’.

QA and VRC will have 34 questions each, and DILR will have 32 questions.

Some questions in each section may not be of multiple choice types.

Instead, direct answers are to be typed on the screen.

The scoring scheme for multiple-choice questions is as follows:

Each correct answer is awarded 3 marks.
An incorrect answer fetches -1.
No marks are given or deducted for un-attempted questions.
