The MBA programme of York St John University will develop your understanding of the management of innovation and creativity, as well as introducing you to fellow students from around the world who share a passion for business. Masters of Business Administration MBA The Masters of Business Administration (MBA) offers participants with aspirations of a career in business management the opportunity to gain a practitioner-focused MBA, laying the foundations for a critically aware and holistic understanding and experience of business management. Entry requirements UK/EU Students- UK/EU students will be able to enter the programme directly in accordance with University entry requirements for MBA programmes or possess an equivalent qualification. International Students- Non-UK/EU students whose first language is not English, will be required to achieve IELTS 6.0 or above, with no less than Band 6 in Writing Skills, or an equivalent qualification accepted by the University. Part-time- For part-time applicants who are in employment, careful counselling will be given so that they understand that this is a pre-experience programme. APEL Policy- If you do not meet the stated entry requirements above, the University APEL policy may be utilised for entry to the programme where necessary and appropriate. The programme may use this system to allow entry for post-experience professionals who have been in management for at least 2 years. This is likely to involve the submission of evidence of professional competence and an interview as part of the recruitment process. Course structure- The MBA programme consists of core and option modules, plus a research project taught across three phases of learning. The option modules aim to develop your understanding of the management of innovation and creativity in a commercial context. Most students will register for and complete the MBA programme. Others can choose to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (60 credits) or a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (120 credits). The programme can be taken either full-time (one year) or part-time (two - five years). There will be two intakes each year in September and January.
