`Is NIFT Entrance Exam Easy
Is National Institute of Fashion Technology NIFT Entrance Exam easy to clear? Tell me the duration and the pattern of this entrance exam? Is there negative marking in NIFT Entrance Exam for wrong answers?

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts the NIFT entrance exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in design programmes offered by it. Each year, more than 20,000 students appear for NIFT exam. Considered to be a pioneer in fashion education, NIFT has its headquarters in New Delhi. Apart from this city, NIFT has domestic centres at Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Shillong, Raebareli and Srinagar. NIFT Exam Pattern Exam Mode NIFT exam will be organized through Pen and Paper (offline) mode. Number and Type of Questions: The question paper will contain multiple choice questions and the number of questions will vary for various programmes. Time Duration: For B.Des entrance test, 2 hours will be provided to complete the paper. Sections: The exam paper will contain various sections like – Quantitative Ability, Analytical, English Comprehension, Communication Ability, Current Affairs and General Knowledge. Language Medium: The question paper will be in English & Hindi. Marking Scheme: There will be no negative marking in the exam paper. Section For B.Des Quantitative Ability 20 Communication Ability 30 English Comprehension 30 Analytical Ability 25 General Knowledge & Current Affairs 15 Total 120 questions Eligibility Requirement B.Des Programmes (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication) One must have cleared the +2 level exams in the 10+2 pattern of exam of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Exam, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Exam, New Delhi. OR A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School of Exam conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects OR 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. OR Any Public School/Board/University Exam in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. OR General Certificate of Education (GCE) Exam (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB) |
