Allahabad Agricultural Institute (AAI) Deemed University is now known as Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHIATS).
Being a deemed university it does not need the approval of All India Council for technical Education (AICTE).
So it not approved by AICTE.

The university has been re-accredited with a CGPA of 3.14 on a 4-point scale by NAAC.
It has received an ‘A’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
