Vellore Institute of Technology conducts this examination called VITEEE for providing admission to the B.Tech programme offered in its Vellore and Chennai campus

Admission criteria:

Student who have appeared/appearing 12th examination from the recognized board are eligible to apply for VITEEE.

Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination is 60% marks in aggregate (PCM/B).

SC/ST category Student, Jammu & Kashmir Student or North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura have to score 50% aggregate marks in PCM.

Exam Pattern

Courses: VITEEE is conducted for admission to B.Tech programme.

Number of Questions: Total 125 questions will appear in the examination of VITEEE.

Number of Sections: Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology subjects.

Question Paper Type: The questions asked in the examination are of objective type having four alternative options.

Exam Mode: Computer Based Test

Exam Duration: Total time of 2 hours and 30 minutes will be provided for the VITEEE computer based test.

Number of Sessions: I session – 9.00 am – 11.30 am /II session – 12.30 pm – 3 .00 pm /III session – 4.00 pm – 6 .30 pm

Marking Scheme: Every question will carry 1 mark.

Negative Marking: No mark will be deducted for the wrong answers as there will be no negative marking.
