The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was founded in 1958. It has a comprehensive graduate program offering doctoral degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

IIT Bombay M. Tech Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants with First class or 60% (55% marks for SC/ST) marks in B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engineering)/ M. Sc./ M.C.A./ MBBS/ M. Pharm./ B. Pharm.(4 yr. Degree)/ BDS (4 yr. Degree)/
OR
Associate Membership Examinations recognized as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech degree conducted by recognized professional bodies (like Institution of Engineers. (India), Institute of Chemical Engineers, Aeronautical Society of India, Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers., Indian Institute of Metals etc.)

Applicants having degree from foreign universities are required to submit equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi for qualifying Exam and proof of having secured first class or 60% (55% for SC/ST) or equivalent in qualifying examination

Applicants who have passed an IIT B.Tech degree with a CGPA/CPI of 8.00 and above are exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification.

Admissions for such applicants are through normal procedure and for selection of applicants for TA/RA positions through written test and/or interview

Applicants need to pass the corresponding GATE Paper as specified.

IIT Bombay M. Tech Selection Procedure:
Selection will be on the basis of GATE score and a personal interview.
