Admission in NIFT
I want to take admission in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) so please tell me about the courses offered by it? Also give me details about the admission criteria of it? Which entrance exam I have to clear to get admission in it?

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts NIFT Entrance Test for admissions to B.Des (Bachelor of Design) Program. The selection process for admission comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a Situation Test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination. NIFT Important Dates 2020 Start date of NIFT 2020 online application October 23, 2019(released) Last date to fill the application form December 31, 2019 End date to fill the application form with late fee January 4, 2020 Start and end date to make requisite changes in the application form January 1 to 4, 2020 Release date of NIFT 2020 admit card January 10, 2020 (2 p.m.) NIFT entrance test 2020 (GAT and CAT) January 19, 2020 Raise objection for the written test January 22 (10 a.m.) to 24, 2020 (5 p.m.) NIFT result 2020 Feb/March 2020 Registration for NIFT 2020 situation test Fourth week of March to first week April 2020 Situation Test/Group Discussion/Interview April-May 2020 Declaration of final result (online) May/June 2020 Registration for counselling process (round 1) Fourth week of May to first week of June 2020 Beginning of counselling 2020 first round May/ June 2020 Counselling process (round 2) Third week of July 2020 NIFT Eligibility Criteria of B.Des One should have passed 10+2 exam from any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. OR One should have cleared Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. OR One should have obtained 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. OR Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system OR General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate Age Criteria – One should be 23 years. One belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories gets five years of relaxation. Reservation of Seats The seats reserved for SC / ST / OBC (Non Creamy)/ GEN-EWS/ Person with Disability (PWD)/ Foreign Nationals / SAARC/ NRI/ OCI/ State Domicile, in each programme are as under SC - 15% ST - 7.5% OBC (NON-CREAMY) -27% GEN-EWS - 10% Person with Disability (PWD) -5% |
