Dibrugarh University, the eastern most University of India was set up in the year 1965 under the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965 enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. The Dibrugargh University through the various teaching Departments, Centres for Studies in its campus and the affiliated colleges scattered over the seven districts is imparting higher education in the various branches of education.

Eligibility:

a) Aspirants with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate)*either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities /
Commerce OR Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology of Dibrugarh University or from any other recognized University with Science and Mathematics
securing at least 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
*As per the NCTE norms, candidate securing 50% marks or more in the Honours/ Major subject but less than 50% in aggregate in all the courses/
papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to the B.Ed. Programme.

b) Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examinations are eligible for
appearing in the B.Ed. CET, 2015 provided that admission of such candidates
shall be considered as per norms only if the degree results are declared by
29.07.2015.
B. Relaxation: Relaxation of marks upto 5% in the qualifying examinations may be granted to the following aspirants:
(a) Aspirants belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ PWD categories,
(b) Teacher aspirant with minimum of five years teaching experience in a school recognized up to 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education,
Assam.
(c) An aspirant can avail the benefit of relaxation of marks only in any one of
the above categories
