After MBA you are eligible to apply for Ground duty branch of Indian Air force and you can join Administration and Logistic Branch or Education branch of Indian Air force. The AFCAT examinations are conducted every year.

Eligibility:

You have to score minimum 50% marks in your Post graduation to apply for Ground duty Branch of IAF.

Height and Weight: Minimum height: 157.5 cms with correlated weight.

The selection is based on written test along with SSB Interview; those who cracked the written examination are eligible for SSB Interview for Final selection.

AFCAT Important dates:

Last date for submission of online applications on December 31st 2015

Date of AFCAT and EKT Exam on February 21st 2016

Date of Commencing in January 2017

Salary details:

You start earning even before become an Air Force officer, during your last year of training - a monthly stipend of Rs. 21,000.

The salary break-up of commissioned Indian Air Force officers (per month):

Pay in Pay Band (same for flying, technical, ground duty): Rs. 15,600
Grade Pay: Rs. 5,400
Military Service Pay: Rs. 6,000
Dearness Allowance @ 107 percent: Rs. 28,890
Kit Maintenance Allowance: Rs. 500
Transport Allowance: Rs. 3,200 + DA ( in major cities) or Rs. 1,600 + DA ( in other cities)

Additional allowance:

Flying Allowance: Rs. 11,250 per month for Flying Branch officers
Technical Allowance: Rs. 2,500 per month for Technical Branch officers

In short, the monthly pay package of the officers would be:

Flying branch: Rs. 74,264
Technical branch: Rs. 65,514
Ground duty branch: Rs. 63,014
