Re: Agriculture Technology Management Agency in Gujarat

Agriculture technology management agency (ATMA) is a registered society at the district level, which works with different agriculture related institutions.

This Agency works under Directorate of Agriculture, Govt. of Gujarat.

Objectives of the Scheme

New institutional arrangements – Decentralized decision making
Group approach to extension – FOs & FIGs
Gender concerns – Minimum 30% allocation
Multi agency extension strategies – encourage private sector (minimum 10% allocation)
Bottom up planning
Broad-based extension delivery (FSA)
Sustainability of extension services – Minimum 10% beneficiary contribution
Convergence of line departments – gap filling mode

Eligibility criteria
FIG groups formed under "ATMA” are registered through Project Director of respective district. After registration, members of FIG are eligible for benefits under the scheme.
