The AICET Exam is conducted by Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth for admission in MBBS and BDS Course. Eligibility Criteria: Nationality: Indian Qualification: 10+2 Passed with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) with minimum of 50% marks AICET Paper Pattern: Duration: 3 Hours Total Questions: 200 Total Marks: 200 Negative Marking: No Negative Marking AICET Exam Syllabus PHYSICS Unit I: Physical World and Measurement Measurement:- Physics - scope and excitement; nature of physical laws; physics, technology and society. Need for measurement: Units of measurement; systems of units; SI units, fundamental and derived units. Length, mass and time measurements; accuracy and precision of measuring instruments; errors in measurement; significant figures. Order of magnitude. accuracy and errors in measurement Dimensions of physical quantities, dimensional analysis and its applications. Unit II: kinematics Scalar and vector quantities; Position and displacement vectors, general vectors and their notations; equality of vectors, multiplication of vectors by a real number; addition and subtraction of vectors Unit vector; Resolution of a vector in a plane – rectangular components. Scalar and Vector product of vectors. Motion in straight lines :- Frame of reference, Motion in a straight line: Position-time graph, speed and velocity. Elementary concepts of differentiation and integration for describing motion Uniform and nonuniform motion, average speed and instantaneous velocity. Uniformly accelerated motion, velocity time and position-time graphs. relations for uniformly accelerated motion (graphical treatment). Motion in a plane. Cases of uniform velocity and uniform acceleration. Projectile motion. Equation of projectile path, time of flight, horizontal range, maximum height of projectile. Relative velocity. |
