The AICTE has set up a council to revise the plan for setting up polytechnics in the general population private organization (PPP) mode, Minister of State for Human Resource Development said.

the legislature had endorsed a plan to give money related help to set up 300 polytechnics in the PPP mode amid the eleventh Five Year Plan period (2012-17).

The AICTE (The All India Council for Technical Education) evaluated the aggregate expense to be Rs.15 crore per polytechnic, barring land. The plan accommodates Rs.3 crore focal government store towards capital resources, Rs.2 crore by the state government and at least Rs.10 crore by the private accomplice
