In Australia, the Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System (AIIMS) is the nationally recognised system of incident management for the nation's fire and emergency service agencies.

The organizational principles and structure used to manage bushfires and other large emergencies (e.g. floods, storms, cyclones etc.) utilizing the all agencies approach.

Span of control

Incident Pre-Planning:

Operations Plan
Logistics Plan
Coordination Plan
Resource Management plan
Safety plan
Communications plan
Assembly/Staging Area Plan
Management Groups regularly meet and refine plans/agreements
Inhibiting factors are identified and pre-determined resolutions identifie
