The Government of Tamilnadu has built up the Alagappa University College of Arts and Science vide the G.O. Ms. No.:81 on 29.05.2012 at Paramakudi amid the scholastic year 2012-13. The College which began working at Paramakudi from 09th August, 2012 for the most part takes into account the prerequisite of the provincial understudies.

At introduce five under graduate projects are offered at the College, which has an affirmed quality of 300 understudies for each year. It is incidentally situated at Raja Sethupathy Govt. Young men Higher Secondary School Campus. Endeavors are on to move it to the perpetual working at Paramakudi at the soonest.
