CBSE will conduct JEE Main. Paper & Pen-based exam on April 2, 2017, while the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held on April 8 and April 9, 2017.

Last date of JEE Main 2017 application form registration has been extended to 16 January 2017 by the CBSE. Changes for 2017 include:

The top 2,20,000 candidates from JEE Mains 2017 will be eligible to take JEE Advanced 2017.

The CBSE had filtered the top 0.2 million candidates for appearing in JEE Advanced, the second stage of the entrance exam for admissions to IITs.

Application Form Close 16th January, 2017
Image Correction Facility 10th December 2016 (onwards)
Last date of fee payment 18th January, 2017
Application form correction window 25th January to 3rd February 2017
Correction in Aadhaar details 23rd February 2017
Release of Admit Card 14th March, 2017
JEE Main offline exam (Pen and Paper Based exam) 2nd April 2017
JEE Main online exam (Computer Based exam) 8th & 9th April, 2017
Display of answer key & OMR sheet 18th – 20th April 2017
Result declaration (paper 1) 27th April 2017
Declaration of All India Rank for JEE Main (Paper 2) 27th May 2017
Counselling schedule first week of July, 2017

Age: The applicants should have been born on or after October 1, 1992 (or be 25 years old) to be eligible for admission.

The age criteria have been relaxed for the SC/ST/PwD categories by 5 years. The applicants of these categories should have been born on or after October 1, 1987 (or be 30 years of age).

Academic Requirements:
Candidates should have qualified 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying examination.

The applicants who are appearing for the 12th standard qualifying examination in the year are also eligible.

Qualifying Marks: The General Category applicants should have scored at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the qualifying examination of 12th standard SC/ST applicants need to secure 65% marks.
