Re: Amie Erickson
Aimee Erickson born in 1967, Paris is an oil painter living in Portland, Oregon. She was prepared as an artist and has built up a warm, welcoming pictorial voice grounded in customary authenticity, educated by the standards of outline, and roused by nature and human experience. She holds a BFA in Visual Communication Design, and has likewise examined with various conspicuous painters including Sherrie McGraw, David Leffel, Burton Silverman, Joseph Paquet, William Park, Stephen Hayes, and Ray Roberts. Aimee is the first woman artist to paint an Oregon gubernatorial representation, that of Barbara Roberts in 1997. The picture hangs in the Oregon State House, upstairs on the assembly side. Aimee shows studio and plein-air painting, drawing, and shading hypothesis locally and at settings across the country. She has a specific enthusiasm for what empowers or hinders our advance as specialists. How would we figure out how to perceive what we can't yet observe? How do our convictions impact our capacity to see? What is the part of information in the domain of decision? How would we "tune in" to our aesthetic discernment? Aimee's work has been granted best prizes in numerous national rivalries, including Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, the Portrait Society of America, and different eminent plein air rivalries.
