As you asking here I am telling AMIE (Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers) is considered to be an equivalent to B.Tech or Bachelor of Technology but it is not a degree course like B.Tech, instead it is just a certification course in which there are two sections and the minimum time to pass both the sections is 4 years.

Industries AMIE is given more prefrence then B.Tech, but after doing AMIE you cannot apply for teaching field that is you cannot apply in universities and colleges for lectureship.

B.Tech and AMIE Both are undergraduate level degree programs
both have different branches to offer like Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc.

B.Tech means you have to join a college, AMIE - no college

75% attendance is necessary for B.Tech, no attendance thing at all for AMIE

B.Tech is strictly 4-year program, AMIE is flexible and on your choice, that is, minimum of 3 years and maximum of 12 years:
