The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made available the detailed guidelines with regard to the eligibility criteria for the forthcoming edition of the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) scheduled to be held next year in May.

Eligibility for All India Quota Seats
Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India are Eligible for appearing in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT):
He/She has reached the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS course
The upper age limit for aspirants seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats in Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India. State Govt., Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the State of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination
Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the aspirants of SC/ST/OBC
a) 01st Jan 86 to 01st Jan 99 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
b) 01st Jan 91 to 01st Jan 99 (Other Category)

Aspirants from Andhra Pradesh, J&K and Telangana:
a) aspirants from the States of Andhra Pradesh, J & K and Telangana are Not Eligible for 15% of all India quota seats as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme %since its inception
If they claim eligibility, they must upload Self Declaration, as per proforma given in Appendix - II, on a Plain Paper to the effect that:
i) They are not eligible to seek admission for MBBS/BDS seats in Medical/ Dental Colleges in the States of Andhra Pradesh, J & K and Telangana
ii) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh, J & K and Telangana
b) Applications not supported with the required scanned Self Declaration in original as per format given at Appendix - II or incomplete, unsigned or photocopy of the Self Declaration shall be summarily rejected without any further reference in the matter

Eligibility for seats under the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions and AFMC:
Aspirants must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an Indian National
Overseas Aspirants of India (OCI) can also appear in AIPMT for admission in seats under the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions subject to rules and regulations of the Govt. of India, respective State Govt and the University/Institution concerned
OCI Aspirants may verify eligibility norms of participating States/Universities/Institutions before applying for AIPMT 2015
The upper age limit for Aspirants seeking admission under seats in the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be as per their rules and regulations
The Aspirants must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination
In respect of Aspirants belonging to SC/ST or OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying exam be 40% instead of 50% for General Aspirants
Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required
Those who are appearing Class XII examination in 2016 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.
