Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the 3-year (6-semester) Full-Time Master in Computer Applications (MCA) Programme at Mesra and its Extension Centre at Jaipur, Lalpur and Noida for the session 2016-17. The admissions will be made through BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test 2016.

BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test is a paper-pen based MCA entrance exam directed by Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) for admission to its Full-Time MCA Programme at BIT Mesra and Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur, and Noida Campuses.

This test is conducted to ascertain the mathematical aptitude, reasoning, computer awareness and English language proficiency of aspirants wishing to apply for MCA in BITS.

MCA admission 2016 in Birla Institute of Technology Mesra and other campuses is based on BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test score.

Important Dates for MCA Program 2016

Filling of Online Form Commences from: 09th March 2016
Last Date for Submission of Online Application Form: 30th April 2016
Last Date for Receipt of Printouts of duly Completed Online Forms at BIT, Mesra: 06th May 2016
Date for Online Entrance Test: 04th June 2016 & 05th June 2016 (Saturday & Sunday)
Declaration of 1st Provisional Selection List along with complete merit list on the Institute Website/ Notice Boards: 15th June 2016
Classes will commence from the 3rd week of July 2016 at all Centres

Eligibility for BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test 2016:-


One must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU.

The degree must be of minimum three years education after completing Higher Secondary School [Class 12 or equivalent] (10+2+3 system).

In addition to this, aspirants must have secured a

-minimum 60% (55 % for SC/ST/PwD) marks in average of all subjects in Class 10.
-minimum 60% (55 % for SC/ST/PwD) marks in average of all subjects in Class 12 / Equivalent Examination.

One must have passed in Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as one of the subject in Class 12 / Equivalent Examination.
