Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) is a coal maker situated in India. The organization was established in 1975 after nationalization of coal mines in India. It acquired all the private division coal mines of the Raniganj coalfield. It is one of the eight completely possessed backups of Coal India Limited.

The organization has its central station at Sanctoria, Asansol, in West Bengal.

There are 14 number of working zones with 105 number of working mines, 74 being underground mines, 22 opencast mines and 9 blended mines.
