Can you tell me about the admission process in B. Ed. college in Orissa as my cousin wants to take admission in it?

As of other states, Orissa do not conduct any entrance test for admission into B.Ed. Each college provides admission according to their eligibility criteria. For almost all the colleges, there are the same eligibility criteria.

Eligibility:
The applicant must have to posses B. Sc., B. A. or any other equivalence graduate degree from a recognized University in India with minimum of 45% aggregated marks.

Eligibility Exception:
There shall be a relaxation of marks in favor of SC and ST applicants as per norms of the State Govt. and the NCTE.

Age limit:
There is no upper age limitation for admission to B. Ed. Courses.

Method Subjects:
English, Bio. Science, Physics, Chemistry, Math., Geography, History, Work Education, Computer Education are available and the offer of admission will be given as per availability of seats and subjects of the particular college.

How to Apply:
There will be a separate application for each college to apply. The applicants interested to join a specific college, can go the college website and download the application from the website and send it to the respective colleges according to their due dates.

Selection Process:
Each college selects the applicant according to the merit in their eligibility process i.e. 10+2+3. Each applicant selected will have a personal interview and then they would be admitted if they passed in the interview.

Duration of B.Ed Course:
It is a one year program.
