Hey!! The B.Ed. programme offered by Directorate of Distance Education of Lalit Narayan Mithila University is an innovative course.


Eligibility Criteria:

In-service teachers of recognized primary, secondary and higher secondary schools with a Bachelor degree or a higher degree from any recognized University, two years full time teaching experience on temporary or permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teacher in a primary, secondary, higher secondary school recognized by the Central or state Govt. or Union territory.


Medium of Instruction:
Medium of Instruction for B.Ed. Course (Distance Mode) will be English or Hindi.


Duration of the course:
The minimum period, required to complete the programme will be two years and the maximum period allowed for completion of this particular course will be four years. After four years, no candidate will be allowed to appear at the B.Ed. exam.

Fee Structure:
Students selected for admission to B.Ed. programme have to deposit Rs. 28,000/- (Twenty eight thousand) only in the form of D.D. favouring LNMU Distance Education fund A/c payable at Darbhanga towards fee for the entire programme at the time of admission.

Admission Criteria:

Admission will be offered on the basis of the merit list of the applicants in the entrance test.
The centres of the entrance test will be fixed and communicated by Directorate of Distance Education, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga.
The candidates will be required to submit only the filled-in application form without enclosures.

Programme Structure:
The B.Ed. programme (Distance Mode) is amalgamation of theory and practical courses which helps in developing in-service teachers knowledge, skill and attitudes. The entire programme consists of four groups of courses-
They are :

Group A - Core Courses
Group B - Content based Methodology Courses
Group C - Special Courses
Group D - Practical Courses
