Is 50% in Graduation is enough for applying for admission in B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course in University of Calcutta? Tell me about other eligibility required for admission in B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course in University of Calcutta?

Department of Education is the oldest department of Education in Indian Universities. It provides both Liberal and Professional Courses of studies. 2 year M.A./M.Sc in Education along with 2 year B.Ed, 2 year M.Ed courses as well as M.Phil and Ph.D. Courses. The Department has several UGC major research project, ICSSR projects under its faculties. Confirmation Criteria for B.Ed. Course, 2016-2018 Admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course will take after the standards set by NCTE, the State Government and University of Calcutta. 1. Applicants with no less than half checks either in the Bachelor's Degree as well as in the Master's Degree in Sciences/Humanities/Social Science, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% imprints or some other capability comparable there to are qualified for admission to the program. Necessity of half (fifty) marks should not have any significant bearing for people selected as instructors before the beginning of the NCTE, (Regulations, Norms and Procedure) Second Amendment Controls, 2010 as set down at para 8(i) of the previously mentioned Gazette.
