Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducted PGMAT entrance exam for granting admission to the medical courses like MD/MS/PGD, MDS & MD (Ayurveda). Key dates Application Form Release date Second week of January, 2017 Application Form Last date Last week of January, 2017 Last date of payment through challan Last week of January, 2017 Last date of payment through credit card/debit card/Net banking Last week of January, 2017 Online Editing of Application Form First week of February, 2017 Receiving of hard copy of filled application with enclosures & challan Third week of February, 2017 Admit card Downloading date Third week of February, 2017 Examination date First week of March, 2017 Eligibility Students must have passed MBBS examination from MCI recognized medical college of Bihar. Students must be the permanent resident of India and must be Bihar domiciled. Exam Pattern The entrance examination is conducted in pen and paper mode. It is the single paper containing questions in two portions, i.e. Portion – I and Portion – II. The examination pattern for each course group is given below: For MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses Group: The duration of the entrance examination will be 3 hours 15 minutes. Portion – I contains the questions from Pre/Para-clinical subjects while Portion – 2 comprising the questions from clinical subjects. There are total 100 questions in Portion – I and 150 questions in Portion – 2. The question paper will be prepared from the MBBS syllabus and covers all the subjects of MBBS course. The question paper will be designed in English medium only. Portion – I Subjects No. of Questions Anatomy 10 Physiology+Biophysics 10 Biochemistry 10 Pathology 15 Microbiology 10 Pharmacology 15 Preventive & Social medicine 20 Forensic Medicine and Toxicology 10 Total 100 Portion – II Subjects No. of Questions Medicine including Paediatrics/ Dermatology,STD & leprosy and Psychiatry 50 Surgery including orthopaedics, PMR & other sub-specialities e.g. Anaesthesia, Radio Diagnosis and Radiotherapy 50 Ophthalmology 13 Otorhinolaryngology 12 Obstetrics & Gynaecology 25 Total 150 For MDS Course Group: It has the duration of 3 hours 15 minutes. The syllabus will consist of the subjects of BDS course. The question paper will be asked in English medium only.
