I want to get admission in Distance B.Ed in Education Department of Bharathiar University so can you tell me the criteria and the dates of admission?

Bharathiar University has invites applications for admission to BEd Programme through the School of Distance Education Approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), New Delhi and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore.

Duration of the Course: The programme is for a period of 2years.

Distance Education BEd Eligibility

2years full time teaching experience on temporary / permanent basis as primary / graduate / post graduate teachers in a Primary / Secondary / Matriculation / Higher Secondary School recognized by the state / central government.

The required teaching experience of 2 years should have been completed on or before the last date of submitting the application.

Truncated 2years full-time teaching experience in the same or in more than one school with or without break can also considered.

The teacher must be services at the time of submitting the application.

Minimum Mark in the Bachelor’s degree -

OC – 50 percent marks
BC/BCM – 45 percent Marks
MBC-DNC – 43 percent Marks
SC/ST/SCA – 40 percent Marks

The teacher must have undergone 10+2+3(15) or 11+1+3(15) pattern of study and passed the school level examinations

UG or PG in any one of the subjects: Tamil, English, History, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Computer Science.

PG in Economics & Commerce both U.G. and P.G. must be in the same subject.

Selection Mode

Based on the performance in the entrance examination and Tamil Nadu State Government Communal reservation norms
