Is BHU An IIT
Hello sir can I call BHU as IIT? How is BHU an IIT? What is relation between BHU and IIT? Can any one provide me detail of BHU and IIT?

BHU is a conversion name of IIT. BHU is a part of IIT’s. The BHU is also called as IIT BHU varanasi. The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi is a public engineering institution located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The IIT was founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College; it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. IIT (BHU), Varanasi has 13 departments and three inter-disciplinary schools. The Institute offers 4-Year B.Tech./B.Pharm., 2-Year M.Tech..M.Pharm., 5-Year B.Tech. & M.Tech./B.Pharm. & M.Pharm Dual Degree and 5-Year Integrated M.Tech. Degree Programmes in different disciplines. Institute also offers research programmes in all sixteen disciplines.
