BITS Admission for Board Toppers

Can you tell me about the policy for admission in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani for Board Toppers?

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani is providing direct admission to the CBSE and State board toppers.

Under this admission scheme, the first rank candidates of all central and state boards will be given direct admission to the programme of their choice irrespective of their BITSAT scores.

The PCM stream toppers will be considered for admission to any of the first degree programmes as per their wish, whereas the PCB stream toppers will be considered for admission to B. Pharma (Hons) programme only.

Eligibility criteria for admission under direct admission to board toppers scheme:

The students who wish to apply under this scheme have to fulfill the following criteria to be identified as a board topper:

a) A student who has taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects in Class 12 and
b) A student who has obtained the highest aggregate percentage of marks in Class 12 among all the students who have appeared for the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects from the Board.

To be eligible for direct admission, candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCM (for Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or PCB (for Biology in BITSAT) subjects in the 12th exam, with at least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects.
