For admission in B Tech program in NIIT University, one needs to clear JEE-Main or BITSAT or SAT or any State Engineering Entrance Exam or NIIT University Engineering Test (NUET).

B Tech Eligibility Criteria

One should:

• Have filled the admission form by the specified date

• Have scored minimum 60% marks or equivalent in grades in Class X from CBSE/ICSE/any other board in India or its equivalent from any other country in 5 subjects (4 compulsory subjects are English, Mathematics, Science and Social studies. 5th can be any subject of one’s choice)

• Score minimum 60% marks in Class XII from any Board in India or its equivalent from any other country in five subjects (4 compulsory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology (PCM/PCB) & English. 5th can be any subject of one’s choice). For ISC board or one who has only 4 subjects, aggregate is calculated for 4 subjects only

• Score in class XII PCM minimum 60% for CSE & ECE and in PCB or PCM minimum 60% for BT. In addition the score in Mathematics in Class XII should be minimum 60% for PCM or minimum 60% in Biology in PCB or PCMB.

• Be appearing in the board exam in March/April current year or should possess the score of Class XII Board exam from previous year.

• Have appeared or be appearing in either JEE-Main or BITSAT or SAT or any State Engineering Entrance Exam or NIIT University Engineering Test (NUET)

Eligibility criteria equivalence for IB and IGCSE programmes

For B Tech programme applicants, who are appearing either for the Cambridge, IGCSE exam (A Level) or International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of 5 subjects, including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and/or Biology, admission and scholarship (if eligible) would be granted based on the predicted score.

One is enroll at NIIT University and deposit the applicable fee. On receiving results, the admission and scholarship is confirmed and one needs to deposit the applicable fee, based on the actual score achieved.
