Well the LPG is a very subsidised commodity in India

The subsidy money was Rs.40,000 crores during 2013-14.

Any subsidy provided translates to money out of the exchequer.

The BPCL by its GiveItUp campaign using the same money for development purposes benefitting the nation.

The HPCL with its #GiveItUp campaign, calling all LPG consumers who can afford to pay the market price for their LPG supply to be a part of this nation building exercise by giving up LPG subsidy.

This amount will be utilised to provide LPG to disadvantaged families.
