Hello sir, I am Subhash. I want you to help me by giving me some information about the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam pattern. Can you give me some details about it? As you have asked about the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam pattern, I am giving you information about it, check below for the details, Examination Pattern: The examination of PCS under BPSC is successively divided in to two parts – 1) Preliminary Examination and 2) Main Examination And the applicants clearing these two levels will be called for the “Interview” 1) Preliminary Examination – The preliminary examination of BPSC – PCS will comprise of the objective type questions. It is a qualifying examination. The applicants will be given multiple choices for each questions. They will have to choose the best possible answer for them and mark on it. There will be total 150 questions, each of one marks i.e. total marks assigned for the preliminary examination is 150. The duration of the examination will be two hours i.e. 120 minutes 2) Main Examination – The main examination comprises of – (i) Written Examination and (ii) Personal Interview For the Written Examination, there are basically four papers in BPSC Main Examination – (i) Hindi (ii) General Studies (iii) First Optional Paper and (iv) Second Optional Paper Total marks assigned to Written Examination is 1200 Hindi – The applicants will have to obtain at least 30 marks in Hindi. No extra marks will be counted in the total marks. General Studies–GS (General Studies) is divided in two categories – GS Paper I and GS Paper II 200 is the maximum marks for each GS paper. The timing assigned to them is three hours individually. Both the section of GS is further divided into three sections. First Optional Paper – Paper 4 – paper I of First Optional subjects (Total 200 Marks) Paper 5 – paper II of First Optional subject (Total 200 Marks) Second Optional Paper – Paper 6 – paper I of Second Optional Subject (Total 200 Marks) Paper 7 – paper II of Second Optional Subject (Total 200 Marks) Last edited by Neelurk; March 31st, 2020 at 04:38 PM. |
