The Department of Buddhist Studies and D-Ambedkar Thoughts has as of late been built up in the year 2006 to advance and create enthusiasm for the field of Buddhist Thought and Culture, and to study its development from old times till today. The Department intends to be multi-disciplinary and multi-aspectual, aside from having sociological, financial, political, and abstract core interest. This Department organizes and does the work for the promotion of two UGC supported focuses Studies in Classical Indian Buddhist Philosophy and Culture; and Dr. Ambedkar's Thoughts.

Advanced Diploma Course in Buddhist Studies

Qualification:

Least passed Advanced Certificate course in Buddhist Studies or comparable course in Buddhist Studies.

General Structure of Advanced Diploma Course in Buddhist

Contemplates:

1. The span of the Advanced Diploma Course Shall be two scholastic year comprising of four terms of fourteen weeks each 2. General Paper - 100 imprints (Written test for 80 marks Plus oral\Seminar For 20 imprints) and Special Paper - 100 imprints (composed test for 80 marks in addition to oral, Course for 20 marks).

Educating:

1. Medium of educating in English or Marathi

2. Addresses - every term 14 weeks (four addresses in a week).

3. Advanced Diploma Course Examination Shall be held once toward the end of the scholastic year.

4. The examination for the Advanced Diploma Course should comprise of a composed examination conveying 80 marks

5. To pass the Advanced Diploma Course examination an applicant must acquire either 40% of the aggregate imprints in each of the composed and oral examination (i.e. isolate passing : 32 in composed and 8 in oral) or least half stamps out 100 (i.e. total passing).

6. Those of the fruitful competitors who get least half of the aggregate marks should be set in the menial and those acquiring least 60% of the aggregate imprints might be put in top of the line.
