The Orfalea College of Business MBA offers a technically sound business foundation along with experiential learning focused on business communication, negotiation, leadership, personal capital growth and honing a moral compass. MBA program The MBA program creates business leaders out of individuals trained in science, technology, engineering, math, social sciences or liberal arts. The program develops business and people savvy for a world that requires both. The MBA at Orfalea is focused on growing your abilities and harnessing your potential. Graduates are recognized for their forward-looking managerial skillset coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude. The program delivers core competencies in all aspects of management empowering graduates to occupy positions in industry, government, and not-for-profits. Wide-ranging courses in the essentials of economics, finance, accounting, marketing, strategy, organizational behavior, and operations management form the backbone of the program. Electives in areas such as people analytics, negotiations, and entrepreneurship support the exploration of particular interests. Admission requirements- Successful completion of an accredited undergraduate program of study. Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Liberal Arts degree holders are preferred. Minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (based on 4.00 scale) with particular emphasis placed on the last 90 quarter units (60 semester units). Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Records Examination (GRE) general test scores. Quantitative scores weigh more heavily in the selection process. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is required for international applicants. The requirement is waived if the applicant received a degree in the United States.
