As you asking I am telling CAT (Common Admission Test) is a national level examination conducted by the IIMs (Indian Institute of Management)

Eligibility Criteria

One must have passed the graduation degree in any stream.

Must have secured the marks at least 50% or equivalent to CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST and Differently Abled).

appearing graduation can also apply for the CAT 2016 but they

must clear the graduation in same year with given qualifying criteria.


Key dates
Online Application Form Starts: 6th August to 20th September 2016
Admit Card download window: 25th October till Exam date
Exam Date: 29th November 2016
CAT 2015 Result: second week of January 2017

Reservation of Seats

As per the government rule of India, 15% seats will be reserved for the SC, 7.5% for the ST candidates, 27% seats will be reserved for the OBC under Non-Creamy Layer candidates and 3% seats will be reserved for the persons with disabilities

Exam Pattern

CAT Exam will be held in November 2016 and the official date will be announced during the announcement of registration.

The duration of the single paper CAT 2016 exam will be of 2 hours and 50 minutes.

The paper will comprise in 100 question basis on the quantitative ability & data interpretation and verbal ability and logical reasoning.

CAT Exam will be held online only.

Each correct answer will be rewarded with 3 marks, each incorrect answer will be punished with 1 mark deduction and no mark will be provided to questions that are not answered.
