Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) is a Government of India undertaking having its corporate central station at Ranchi in India.

It is a completely possessed auxiliary of Coal India Limited (CIL) and a Schedule-B organization.

It is a Mini Ratna (Category II) organization since May 2009 and ISO 9001 guaranteed since March 1998. It is likewise on path for ISO 27001 confirmation for its data security administration.

Function

CMPDI works through its corporate base camp at Ranchi and its Regional Institutes (RIs) numbered 1 to 7 situated at Asansol, Dhanbad, Ranchi, Nagpur, Bilaspur, Singrauli, and Bhubaneswar individually alongside different field units and investigation camps.
