I will tell you the process of selection for the post of Assistant Engineers offer by Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) so that you can remember easily.

Here is the selection procedure
CGPSC will recruit assistant engineers in the commission through following steps –
Written Exam and

Interview / personality test.

Exam pattern
Written Exam Pattern:
There are two papers in the written test and they are –

Paper I and Paper II.

Duration of both the paper is 2.30 hours.

Each paper will carry 150 questions each having 2 marks. So, marks distribution is given below –

Paper I – 300 marks (150 questions),

Paper II – 300 marks (150 questions).

Syllabus
Paper wise written test syllabus for the CGPSC AE post is given below-

Paper I – General awareness:

Part 1 – General Knowledge.

Part 2 – Knowledge of Chhattisgarh State.

Part 3 – General aptitude question.

Paper II – Engineering Discipline:

Interview (75 marks):
Those who will clear the qualifying or cut off marks of the written test will be called for interview.

They will be asked about their subject as well as general questions.

There is no qualifying marks for the interview separately.

Final Merit List:
After combining both the marks of written test (600 marks) and interview (75 marks) final selection or merit list will be published.
