Ph.D in Science is offered in following Subjects:

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, Environment Science, Library Science

Eligibility

M.Sc with minimum of 55% marks

5% relaxation shall be permissible to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ State OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Women category.

Admission is based on the entrance exam.

The JU Ph.D Entrance Exam is conducted once in a year.

Candidate having UGC-CSIR-JRF/NET will be exempted from the JU Ph.D entrance test and will be given preference.

Caution Deposit (refundable) 5,000
Registration Fees (One time-Non refundable) 5,000
Thesis Evaluation Fees (One Time) 25,000
Amount of DD at the Time of Admission 85,000

University shall consider a monthly scholarship of Rs. 16,000/- to Full Time scholars in deserving cases.
