Eligibility for Combined Medical Services

Nationality:

A candidate must be either:
(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limits:

A candidate must not have attained the age of 32 years.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the following Cases:

Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: upto a maximum of five years

Other Backward Classes: upto a maximum of three years.

State of Jammu & Kashmir (Domiciled during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989: upto a maximum of five years.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS Examination

A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final MBBS Exam may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the exam, if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation,

Physical and Medical Standards

Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to the physical/medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Exam as per regulations contained in Appendix III to the Rules of the exam

Fee Details :

Candidates (Excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay of fee of Rs.200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card
