Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct KCET 2018. The state level engineering entrance exam will be conducted for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by government and private institutions of Karnataka.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 10+2 level qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and English as a language subject.

Candidates must have studied Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology as an elective subject in class XII.

Candidates must have obtained minimum 45% aggregate scores in class 10+2, if belonging to General Category.


Examination Pattern :

Total questions : 180 (Physics- 60, Chemistry- 60, Mathematics- 60)

Type of questions : Objective

Total marks 180 (one mark for each question)

Negative Marking No

Duration of exam

1 hour 20 minutes for each paper (paper-1 for Physics & Chemistry and paper-2 for Mathematics)
